Ordering Software:
  1. Before ordering any software, end users should check the Northwestern IT Available Software page to determine if Northwestern already has an enterprise agreement or preferred method of accessing the software. Depending on the title, end users should also consider checking with local department or school-based IT resources to see if there is a local agreement that already exists.
  2. Microsoft Select titles including Visio, SQL Server, and Project, and other “transactional” titles such as SPSS can be ordered through the CDW-G catalog in iBuyNU. For SAS purchases specifically, purchasers should first email angieandbrian@cdwg.com, and will need to generate a non-catalog purchase order after receiving a quote from CDW-G.
  3. For larger-scale or complex purchases, please reach out to angieandbrian@cdwg.com to begin discussion on what software may best suit your needs.
  4. Please note that all software purchases are still required to follow Purchasing and Payment Policy and Procedures and any/all requirements related to IT/software contracts (legal review, data security assessment when necessary, compliance with Web Accessibility Standards and Digital Accessibility Policy, etc.).
